“ This piece is created by my inspiration of media, worldwide information on the webpage and Princess Diana. Princess Diana was one of the inspirational role models in Malaysia although Princess Diana had never visited 10 countries of Southeast Asia, including Malaysia. The pictures of the piece were created by retaking photos of the CNN video news on the Internet. I made the pictures into a generative, moving-image video triptych that explores four dynamics: Stillness, Motion, Existence, and Resistance. The work allows viewers to increase unanswered questions about political identity, cross-cultural problem and interest conflict. ”

BIOGRAPHY
Born in Malaysia, Lim worked restlessly his own way to New York from an impoverished upbring in his developing country.
He is profoundly deaf since birth and his deafness developed his strong sense of seeing. His eyes are more sensitive to other things, compare to people who can hear. As a child, Lim, who doesn’t have ability to hear any kind of sound or music, discovered colorful prints covered on music cassettes, which brought him into the art and design world. Lim has been creating works ranging from paintings and sculptures to interior architecture and graphic design to multimedia and art installations and fine art photography.
The solo voyager, who has traveled to more than 33 countries worldwide, often explores themes of heritage preservation, social segregation, mortality, interactive communication, and the politics of identity and culture. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York and studies at New York University. The raising artist continues working on his conceptual installations for further exhibitions in Asia, America and Europe.
Lim's recent multimedia installations have been exhibited internationally at Total Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, Korea, Tamarind Gallery, New York, the John F. Kennedy Center, Washington DC, and World Financial Center, New York. His first language or mother tongue is American Sign Language.
